After completing his early education from Delhi Public School in R K Puram. For his higher education, he applied to University of Pennsylvania. There, he got enrolled in the Jerome Fisher Program in Management and Technology. He earned dual degrees: one in Engineering from the School of Engineering and Applied Science and another in Entrepreneurship, Operations & Information Management from The Wharton School. He also did a diploma in executive marketing from the Kellogg School of Management.
He worked in Microsoft for some time and then moved back to India. In 2008, Kunal along with his friend Rohit Banal started an offline couponing business called MoneySaver.
