Aman was born on July 23, 2003, in Haryana. Both his parents passed away when he was only 11. He and his sister were taken in by their uncle. He was encouraged by his grandfather to pursue wrestling and fulfill his dad’s dreams.
In 2022, he became the first ever Indian to win a gold at the Under-23 Asian Championship. He continued performing best by winning gold at both the Asian World Championship in 2023 and the Zagreb Open Wrestling Tournament in 2024.

Sehrawat was the only Indian male wrestler to qualify for the Summer Olympics. He started his journey by defeating North Macedonia’s Vladimir Egorov 10-0 on technical superiority. On Thursday, he beat Albania’s Abarakov Zelimkhan in the quarter-final to reach the semis. He lost semis to Rei Higuchi of Japan.
