After completing his schooling he pursued his intermediate education at Vignan College in Vadlamudi. He then earned a B.Tech degree in Industrial Biotechnology from Anna University in Chennai. He is an alumni of New York Film Academy, where he studied acting and filmmaking.
In 2009, Nara Rohit made his acting debut with the film Baanam which was well-received. Following this, he continued to choose roles in films that often explored unique themes and narratives, such as Solo (2011), Prathinidhi (2014), Asura (2015), Jyo Achyutananda (2016) and Veera Bhoga Vasantha Rayalu (2018).
In addition to acting, Rohit ventured into film production with his company, Aran Media Works, aiming to bring innovative stories to the forefront of Telugu cinema.
