Chiranjeevi was born to Konidela Venkata Rao, a police constable, and Anjana Devi. He has 2 brothers, Nagendra Babu who is an actor and film producer, and Pawan Kalyan, an actor, politician who founded the Jana Sena Party. His two sisters are, Vijaya Durga and Madhavi Rao. Chiranjeevi completed his higher secondary education at C.S.R. Sarma Junior College in Ongole and graduated with B.Com from Y.N. College in Narasapur. During his youth, After completing his graduation, he moved to Chennai to pursue a career in acting, enrolling at the Madras Film Institute for a Diploma. Chiranjeevi was an active participant in the National Cadet Corps (NCC).
