Siddique Early Life & Career
After doing a Diploma in Electrical Engineering at Kalamassery Government Polytechnic, he started working as an electrical engineer with the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB). Later he moved to Saudi Arabia for three years to work there. However, his passion for acting led him back to India.
Siddique’s acting career took off in the late 1980s when he made his film debut with Aa Neram Alppa Dooram (1985). His major breakthrough came in 1990 with the comedy film In Harihar Nagar. Following this success, he starred in numerous hit films throughout the 1990s, including Godfather, Welcome to Kodaikanal, Mimics Parade, and Kasargode Khadarbhai.

Siddique Rape Case
A young actress has accused actor Siddique of raping her in 2016 at a hotel in Thiruvananthapuram. The case was registered based on a complaint by the actress after the release of the Justice K Hema Committee Report. The complainant alleged that Siddique invited her to the hotel room in the name of discussing a movie script, and then assaulted her.
Siddique has been charged under Sections 376 (rape) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) following the formal complaint lodged.
The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the case has gathered substantial evidence including the hotel register, WhatsApp communication that supports the complainant’s allegations.
Siddique’s response
has claimed that the allegations are part of a prolonged campaign of harassment against him and has denied any wrongdoing. He filed for an anticipatory bail in Kerala High Court, but was denied. The court said that prima facie evidence makes his custodial interrogation necessary.
