Priyanka Bishnoi SDM Early Life & Career
Priyanka’s early education took place in her hometown. She demonstrated academic excellence from a young age. When she was in 8th standard, a pivotal moment came when she was honored by a Sub-Divisional Magistrate during a school event, which inspired her aspiration to become an officer herself.
In 2016, she passed the RAS exam and become a RAS Officer. Her first posting was as an assistant collector in Jodhpur. Over the years she served in several districts, including Dungarpur and Churu, before being appointed as the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Jodhpur.
On 15 August, 2024, she was honored by Rajasthan government for her outstanding public service.

Jodhpur’s SDM, Priyanka Bishnoi tragically passed away on 18 September, 2024 after an alleged botched up stomach surgery. 20 days ago, she was admitted to Vasundhra hospital in Jodhpur after a complaint of stomach pain and a surgery was scheduled. Post-surgery her health deteriorated and she went into a coma. Priyanka was transferred to an Ahmedabad hospital for advance treatment. Unfortunately, she passed away 2 weeks after her surgery.
Her family has accused the hospital of medical negligence, alleging that she received an excessive dose of anesthesia during the operation, which contributed to her declining health. They have demanded accountability from the hospital administration and called for legal action against the medical staff involved.
Jodhpur District Collector Gaurav Aggarwal ordered an inquiry into the matter and formed a 5 member team for investigation.
