How are they protecting themselves? The reason is their ” सात्विक जीवनशैली “. They follow sincere, plain and neat lifestyle since ages. The core values of their lifestyle are non – violence, hard – work and morality.
Some of their key practices are :
1. Growing their own food : People of this community grow their own food and only consume it.
The process of growing is executed all under their supervision. Their principle is simple “Stay Connected to Nature“.
When lockdown was announced, people were only allowed outside for buying essential things, of which hygiene was a concern and also the cost of vegetables and other eatables rose.
At that time how relieving it was to have your food grown at your home, which is grown under your supervision , which is healthy as well as nutritious.
Also there are many benefits of growing your own food.
2. Hygiene freakness : Tana Bhagats are quite hygiene freak.
It’s their habit to wash their legs and hands before entering their houses. Everyone keeps their shoes outside their house.
They lines the walls of mud houses with cow dung which acts as a cheap thermal insulator and also repel insects.
These people wear only white clothes so they get notice of any dirt.
3. Doesn’t use plastic : People of this community had said “No” to plastic a long time back.
They don’t use any plastic product.
