Are CBSE class 12th examinations are cancelled?
Today, 01-June-2021, at 1939 hours, PM Narendra Modi announced cancelation of CBSE class 12th examination all over India.
The decision is taken after a high-level meeting of various minister such as Union Ministers of Home, Defence, Finance, Commerce, Information & Broadcasting, Petroleum and Women & Child Development Ministries and Principal Secretary to PM, Cabinet Secretary & Secretaries of School Education & Higher Education Departments & other officials.
All minister has shown their concern over health risk of students due to the pandemic. the situation of country is not in a condition to conduct exams at the time. This decision Is taken keeping in the eye the situation of country where various states have put lockdown.
How results will be announced and on what criteria?
The results for the exams will be announced in few weeks. The results will be announced in a well-defined criterion. However, if some students want to give examination, an option will be provided by CBSE when the conditions are favourable.
PM shows concern about the panic and anxiety among students. He said that students should not be forced to appear in exams in such a stressful situation and life of students should not be put at danger.
